Minecraft: How to download a realm in v1.17.10

In version v1.17.10 Mojang changed the screens you use to manage your realm worlds. As part of this change they allow you to upload three worlds. The one issue is that it’s not clear which world is the one you previously had loaded. Instead of having the name of the world the previously loaded world defaults to ‘My World’. You will be able to click on that tile and download the world / change the settings as you previously could.

How do I find copper in my older world?

With the release of Minecraft v1.17.2 a number of new blocks have been introduced, copper being one of them. These blocks will spawn in old worlds but they will not spawn in areas that have already been loaded.

In minecraft, blocks are organized into chunks and only has a number loaded at a time. When you enter a coordinate at a previously unexplored chunk all of the blocks are created for the first time using the algorithm for your seed. Once these blocks have been rendered the chunk will always be just that minus any changes YOU make to it.

In order to find new blocks, including copper you must adventure to a biome that has them that is in a previously unexplored chunk which might require you to venture far. Copper is most often found in the Boreal Forest biome, the Taiga biome or the snoy taiga. Previously, drowneds dropped mainly gold as an ore but now also drop copper.

Simple Inverter

Minecraft Bedrock: How to build a simple inverter

Answer Tree | Random answers for random questions

A simple inverter in Minecraft will allow something like a lever to output power to one item but not another.  An example of this would be  a lever that turns one redstone lamp on while turning another off.

You will need the following items:

  1. Redstone Lamp (2x)
  2. Redstone Torch (1x)
  3. Redstone Dust (1x)
  4. Cobblestone (1x)
  5. Lever (1x)

Note: that the cobblestone can be replaced by any block that conducts redstone power.

Refer to the following screenshots for specific item placement.  The lever is placed next to a redstone dust which connects to the cobblestone.  The cobblstone has a redstone lamp on top of it and a redstone torch off the side.  One block away from the redstone torch the second redstone lamp is placed.  That is it!  When the lever is toggled one lamp will be on and one lamp will be off.

A practical use for this would be at a minecart station where the direction the track is heading at an intersection could be indicated by one of two redstone lamps.
